Seriously... Why Write Together?
Get More Writing Done
Have you ever had trouble getting something done on your own, but then sat down with a friend and found it SO much easier? That's what happens when you join Writing Moments. We meet together over a private zoom connection and spend 45 minutes writing.
Get Your Q's Answered
In addition to attending Writing Moments, when you become a member, you're invited to join us for at least one unscripted Q&A session per month. Ask anything you want, and we'll answer to the best of our collective knowledge.
Learn From experience
Between them, Chris, Gena and Rene have 75+ years of writing experience in a variety of genres – fiction, non-fiction, children's books, curriculum, direct mail, marketing, blogging, magazine articles, screenwriting, and more. They each bring a unique perspective and a desire to share everything to help you succeed.
It's Your Time
Because we all live in different locations, we host Writing Moments several times a week. Join us for any or all sessions that work for you!

Ready to join the movement?
Being a writer isn’t easy.
…because life is BUSY. You know what I’m talking about. Life is more demanding than ever, but still – there’s something inside us as writers that … well … we’ve got to get our stories out there. We’ve got to find time to give them life!
For YEARS I struggled with finding time to write. As a freelancer, I found I could almost always find time to write for others, but doing my own stuff? It went out the window. It’s like I felt accountable to my clients, but not to my calling to write my own stuff.
Then something happened. I joined a few friends for an online mastermind and I found my freelance business take-off. Having friends to not only bounce ideas off of, but also to check-in with weekly, was invaluable.
Then something else happened. I saw my (plump) self in our Christmas photos. So on a whim I joined a weight-loss program with weekly, online check-ins…and lost 35 pounds in 4 months. It worked because I was getting together with others online and working the program as a team.
Then a third thing happened. I woke one day and thought, “What if I wrote with other writers?” What if we gathered online on a regular basis? What if we shared the things we’ve learned? What if we held each other accountable for writing? And what if … well, what if we spent our writing moments together?

And that idea became this idea. As I shared it with my writing friends, they all thought it was a stellar brainchild, because they all said they needed accountability, too. So welcome to the first incarnation of Writing Moments, with myself, Gena, and Rene. We would be absolutely thrilled to have you join us for this movement.
Because if you feel the same pain when it comes to your writing, we have something in common.
And you know what else we have in common? We’re doing something about it.

FAQS and Not-So-FAQs
You simply fire up zoom and join us. We start with a few victories to begin on a positive note, 15 minutes of a Q&A or a mini-teaching from Chris, Gena or Rene, and then we silence our mics and work together for 45 minutes. (Technically, it’s called the Pomodoro technique, a productivity system that works!)
Every month we publish a calendar with that month’s session dates and times. Currently we have a repeating weekly Writing Moment on Wednesdays at 12 PM.
Not at all. We’ve purposefully put a lot of sessions on the calendar so you can make several work with your schedule. Just attend when you can. We even record the trainings so you can access them later if you want.
Every month, we have one “Q&A Party,” where you can jump in and ask anything about writing, publishing, branding, and marketing that you want – and we’ll answer to the best of our collective knowledge! And because Chris, Gena, and Rene love writing with others so much, we sometimes add Sprints to the calendar so you can jump on and write with us on the spur of the moment. No training on those – just fire up zoom and GO. We’re up for anything that gives all of us writing momentum!
Nope! Our group subscription is included in this membership. All you have to do is log in to zoom when a Writing Moment starts, and you’ll have everything you need.
We’ve worked hard to make this membership as affordable as possible. The tech needed to schedule and organize groups of people on zoom isn’t free, and neither is the training time for our hosts. Look at it this way: For $15/mo you’re only spending a couple dollars per session to give yourself the accountability you need to finish your book – and you’re receiving top-notch training from authors who normally charge far more for their services. We don’t think you’ll find a better value anywhere. Plus, when you sign up, you “lock in” your price as long as you’re a member. So while the price may increase in the future, it won’t for you.
We don’t provide refunds, but you can cancel at any time and you won’t be charged again. Just be aware that once your membership ends, you’ll lose access to any future Writing Moments and trainings until you sign up again.
Studies show "you have a 65% of completing a goal if you commit to someone. And if you have a specific accountability appt ... you will increase your chance of success by up to 95%." That's why Writing Moments give you Writing Momentum!
