Privacy Policy

Writing Momentum is run by Christopher and Gena Maselli. This policy covers writingmomentum.com and the emails we send. Questions go to care@writingmomentum.com.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your name and email when you take the two-minute check, join the newsletter, grab a free download, send us pages, share your story, or fill out the contact form, plus anything you choose to tell us about your book. If you send a photo with your story, we keep that too.
- What your browser tells us. Pages visited, time on the page, device, and rough location, through Google Analytics. Google uses cookies to count visits; it never gives us your name. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on, and Google explains what it collects in its privacy policy. Like every website, our server also keeps short-lived logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure.
- Purchases. When you buy the membership or a service, payment is handled by our checkout provider, ThriveCart. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To answer you, and to send the emails you asked for.
- To run the membership and deliver what you bought.
- To improve the site.
- We never sell or rent your information.
Who else sees it
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) sends our email. It stores your name, your email, and your answers to the two-minute check, and tells us whether an email was opened or a link clicked. See Kit’s privacy policy.
- ThriveCart handles checkout, and ThriveCart Academy hosts the membership’s courses.
- Google Analytics counts visits, as described above.
- YouTube and podcast players embedded on our pages may set their own cookies when you press play.
- Our web host stores the site and the messages you send through it.
Stories you share
When you share your story or a testimonial, we only publish it, your name, and your photo if you tick the box giving us permission. Change your mind later and we’ll take it down.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you’re subscribed, and project messages for as long as we’re working together and a reasonable time after. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Ask us at care@writingmomentum.com to see, correct, or delete what we have about you. That’s true wherever you live.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
